Two New Antennas - Omni for WLAN, Directional for Military Ground based Comms

February 2010

NEW ANTENNAS

We continue to develop antennas for our customers, and undertake antenna research projects to ensure we remain leaders in our field. We never stop - we are either working to improve the performane of existing antennas or we develop new methods of providing a solution that was considered impossible a few years ago. Here are two such antennas:

Omni antenna 1555This new omni antenna has high gain and horizontal polarisation which improves system performance. It was originally designed for commercial WLAN applications.
Model OA8-5.8H/1555
Frequency 5.7 - 5.9GHz
Gain 8dBi
HPBW 360° x 15°
Power rating 50W

Directional antenna 1658This new directional antenna measures 200x200x10mm and has been designed for military ground based communications. Circular polarisation provides lower fading when in marginal situations such as mobile applications or rapid temporary deployment.
Model FPA16-3.4R/1658
Frequency 3.35 - 3.45GHz
Gain 16dBi
HPBW 25° x 24°
Power rating 50W

C-band antenna leafletNEW LEAFLET for Tactical Communications C-Band Antennas

This new leaflet covers our range of directional, sector and omni antennas in the C-band range, 4.4 to 5.0GHz that are used mainly for Data Links, WLAN, Telemetry and Video. The leaflet has been revised t include the latest antenna developments. More information on C-Band antennas, with a PDF version (PDF 1041kb) of the C-Band antenna leaflet can be downloaded, and a hard copy is available on request.
