4.7GHz > Link16 > UAV > Ultra Wide Band
Our antennas are used for UAVs (unmanned airborne vehicles), ground based radio (Link16) and other defence applications. Data links using the GSM network, missile telemetry, and fixed and mobile wireless LAN systems all use our antennas.
Our directional flat panel antennas feature printed circuit phased array technology. This provides, in general, a slim, discreet antenna with the highest specification for accurate radiation pattern and robust construction. Gain measurements rangge from 7 to 32dBI with beamwidths from 5° to 120°. Polarisation can be circular or linear, or dual.
Omni-directional antennas, as collinears, have up to 11dBi gain, with multi-octave bicones providing 2dBi gain. These antennas provide excellent azimuth ripple. Most omni antennas have circular polarisastion, and we are able to customise elevation beam patterns for special applications. Ultra wide band antennas, some measuring between 6GHz and 18GHz can be ground based or airborne. Applications include ECM, ESM and direction finding, providing data links between target drones and base station.
Key applications include the 4.4 to 5.0GHz (Band 4) frequency. We have COTS antennas (commercial off-the-shelf) with ultra slim panel antennas, sectors and omnis.
We have designed antennas for UAVs. Of great interest has been the blade antennas designed for Cranfield Aerospace for use on the Boeing X-48B. Our blade antennas are just a millimetre thick providing great aerodynamics.
Link16 is a NATO radio system and we have a group of antennas for this application.
Finally we have a group of ultra wideband antennas, rugged and accurate, that have been mounted under military vehicles, helicopters, or mounted in an array for DF.
