Newsletters - MAKING WAVES May 2007

LATEST NEWS

2007 has seen a good steady growth in business over a broad spectrum of industries and countries.

As a medium sized business we are in a great position to react swiftly when we spot a trend. Our existing catalogue features a number of broadband and high frequency antennas that are ready and available for manufacture. Around the world the digital television market is growing and our marketing has perceived this alteration and growth in this frequency. Another growth market is the C-band frequency (4.4 to 5.0GHz). This has led to the development of the new antennas featured in this newsletter, which again demonstrates our flexibility and the benefit of having a dedicated team in a single location.

Demands on our sales staff grow as we increase our global travel, visiting customers and international agents around the world. Fortunately the benefits of our own industry - communications - means that you, our readers, probably will not be aware that your emails and telephone calls are being diverted to all parts of the world, from the United Arab Emirates to the USA. Wherever we are, and wherever you are, we are always plesaed to hear from you.

We are exhibiting at several exhibitions this year, the next one being Broadband Wireless World at INTEROP, being held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Centre in Las Vegas, USA, from May 22 to 24. We hope to see you there.

NEW ANTENNAS
New flat panel COTS antennas for 4.4 to 5.0GHz military communication frequencies

As a result of increased interest for communication systems in the US military frequency band 4.4 to 5.0GHz (C-band), European Antennas Ltd has developed two high gain flat panel COTS (commercial-off-the-shelf) antennas of the 'one-foot' and 'two-feet' USA style, that are just 1 inch (25mm) thick. The company has found that usage has increased in other countries as national governments allocate subsections of this band.
